Go Gluten- free!
Looking for a change this New year? Thought about going gluten-free? Gluten intolerance affects a staggering amount of people and coeliac disease is estimated to affect 1 in 100 people in the U.K. with only 1 in 8 of those diagnosed. National Gluten- Free day (January 13th), encourages people to try a wheat and gluten-free diet to see if it could help them and the way they feel.
Being gluten-free is no longer a chore because there are so many products on the market which are catered for the specific dietary requirements, with just as much flavour and quality.
The Malted Waffle company has developed a NEW gluten-free waffle and pancake flour which tastes just as good as their regular flour recipe. So to keep all you people wanting to go gluten-free happy we have developed the most delicious recipe for the newest Chicken and Waffle trend which you would never guess is gluten-free.
For the fried chicken:
Chicken thighs or breasts
1 egg whisked
Gluten-free all purpose flour mixed with: Salt, Thyme, Basil, Oregano, Celery Salt, Black Pepper, Dried Mustard, Paprika, Garlic Salt, Ground Ginger and White Pepper.
Oats – blitzed mixed with gluten free bread crumbs (you can make these by blitzing small chunks of gluten-free bread in a blender and then laying them on a baking sheet to brown)
Cut the chicken to desired sized pieces (remember your cooking time will change dependant on the size of the pieces, you can do from popcorn to whole thighs).
Roll the chicken in the flour and spice mix, then dip in the egg and coat with breadcrumbs.
Repeat until all chicken is coated.
Lay the chicken in a baking tray and cook in a preheated oven (180 Fan) until the chicken is cooked through (remember this will vary dependant on the size of the pieces).
To crisp up the outer coating take the cooked pieces and fry in a pan with butter on each side until the desired colour (to keep ...

The Malted Waffle Company is proud to announce the launch of our newly developed Gluten Free Waffle and Pancake flour.
It has taken us over one year to find the right blend of ingredients to make a delicious, fluffy waffle that tastes just as good as our original mixes.
The gluten free market continues to grow with approximately 1 in 100 people suffering from coeliac disease (source: Coeliac UK) and even more suffering with a gluten intolerance.
The market for “free-from” food has jumped 30pc since last year, to £531m, and Mintel forecasts it will hit £673m by 2020 (source: The Telegraph Dec 2016).

If you’re anything like us you’ve had absolutely NO chill about Netflix’s original series Stranger Things. And leading most of our love for this perfect binge watch is the incredible young heroine with psychokinetic abilities Eleven (Millie Brown).
When Mike (Finn Wolfhard) decides to harbour the mysterious government experiment girl, Eleven in his basement the only food he has to offer her is Frozen Waffles. ‘El’ is seen eating these throughout many of the episodes which got us super hungry!
Stranger Things is set in the 80’s so we’ll forgive them for eating those pre-packaged frozen waffles. However, we have just as easy of a recipe for you to get that waffley goodness in no time WITHOUT any of those Demogorgon-like chemicals!
With the simple Complete Waffle Flour made by The Malted Waffle Company all you need to do is add water and melted butter and whisk!! Pour your batter into your waffle iron and turn it over! Being careful you don’t slip into the Upside Down of course! And there you have it!
The perfect snack to binge watch your new fave programme with!
Even go the extra step to team it with Dustin’s (Gaten Matarazzo) favourite - chocolate pudding! Top your waffles with melted chocolate! We can almost hear him saying Delicious!
